What it does

Front & rear

Switch cameras before recording. Audio captured alongside video, in sync.

Screen-off recording

A foreground service keeps recording when the screen is off or the app is in the background.

Pause & resume

Pause, resume, live timer. Minimized mode dims the screen but keeps REC and Stop in reach.

Its own folder

Saves to a dedicated Recordings folder, not your photo gallery. Survives reboots.

Quality control

UHD, FHD, HD, or SD with automatic fallback to what the camera supports.

Built-in manager

Browse, play, rename, export, and delete clips with name, date, duration, and size.

Install & permissions

  1. Download the APK with the button above.
  2. Open it from Files or your browser downloads.
  3. Allow “install unknown apps” if Android asks.
  4. Open Soundleaf, grant Camera, Microphone, Notifications.

For long screen-off recordings: exempt Soundleaf from battery optimization in Settings so the system doesn't pause it.

  • CAMERACapture video.
  • RECORD_AUDIOCapture audio with the video (optional — video-only works too).
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICEKeep recording while backgrounded, with a visible notification.

No storage, location, or network permissions. Recordings never leave your phone.
